AI usage and the monthly cap
No model is called until a cap is set; amounts are estimates.
Settings > AI usage shows the organization's usage this month and its cap.
The cap
To turn AI on, enter the most your organization may spend in a month. No model is called until a cap is set. If you enter 0, only the free local model is used. You can also set a monthly share per person. Only the organization owner changes the cap and the model preference.
What you see
- Spend and the amount set aside. Amounts are estimates computed from provider prices, not an invoice.
- A warning when a certain share of the cap is reached; once it's full, no new calls are made while reading data stays possible.
- A breakdown by task and by person. It contains only numbers; prompts and replies aren't stored.
If usage can't be read, the screen says the status is unknown.
